ABOUT SAAT

SAAT (Soliman's Auricular Allergy Treatment) is a specialized form of allergy treatment through the ear micro system whereby Abounding Hope Health Options LLC uses auricular medicine to determine a point in the ear that corresponds to a specific allergen. A sterile, single-use Spinex needle is then inserted transdermally in the allergen point in the right ear by a state licensed acupuncturist. The needle(s) are left in place for three weeks at which point they can be removed at home. Generally, only one treatment per allergy should be needed.

As Kerry is not an acupuncturist, we work with licensed acupuncturist Anita Curry MSLAc, LMT, CD(DONA) with FLO Acupuncture.

SAAT CLINICS

​

Abounding Hope partners together with a licensed acupuncturist once or twice a month to hold an allergy clinic for those with allergies/sensitives. Generally the clinics will occur on a Monday or Friday with the exact date being determined approximately 3-4 weeks prior to the clinic. We will notify current clients via email of the date of the next clinic. If you are not a current client and interested in treatment, please contact us to find out when our next SAAT clinic is or enter your email below to receive email mailers announcing the next clinic.

Appointments take an hour (for current AME/AAE clients) to an hour and a half (for SAAT-only clients) and a maximum of 6 allergies will be treated per appointment. If you are a new client to SAAT, please fill out your intake forms before your appointment and bring them with you as there is not usually time to fill it out at the appointment. These days are reserved solely for SAAT and no regular auricular medicine evaluations will occur.

If you do not know what allergies you have, you can contact the office to set up an Auricular Allergy Evaluation (see below) appointment to determine allergens. 

 

SAAT COST

 

Current AME/AAE Clients

The fees associated with SAAT treatment with verified (by Kerry) allergies are separated into two fees.

Payable to Abounding Hope:

• $100 for testing/determining the location of the allergen point for up to 4 allergies. For each additional allergy point determined above 4, it will be an additional $25 per allergy.

​Payable to the acupuncturist:

• $75 for the insertion of one to two needles for traditional allergies; $100 base for the insertion of one to two needles for auto-immune allergies. Any additional needle(s) inserted be an extra $25 per needle.

These appointments are an hour long.

​

Assuming the maximum 6 allergies tested and treated at one SAAT clinic, this equates to $225-$350 (depending on number of needles and if they are for auto-immune allergies) or approximately $38- $58 per allergy.

Non AME/SAAT-only Clients

Due to the longer length and additional work to verify allergies at the appointment, the fees associated with SAAT treatment with unverified (by Kerry) allergies are:

Payable to Abounding Hope:

• $150 for testing/determining the location of the allergen point for up to 4 allergies. For each additional allergy point determined above 4, it will be an additional $25 per allergy.

Payable to the acupuncturist:

• $100 for the insertion of one to two needles. Any additional needle(s) inserted be an extra $25 per needle.

These appointments are one hour and 30 minutes long.

​

Assuming the maximum 6 allergies tested and treated at one SAAT clinic, this equates to $300-$400 (depending on number of needles) or approximately $50- $67 per allergy.

AURICULAR ALLERGY EVALUATIONS

​

Abounding Hope also offers auricular allergy evaluations (AAE). This session is for those with unknown allergies/sensitives and allows Abounding Hope to determine what you are allergic/sensitive to. During these sessions no acupuncturist is present so no needle will be inserted. This is solely an exploratory session. If you choose to have allergies treated after AAE, you will need to attend a SAAT allergy clinic.

These evaluations are beneficial for those who do not know their allergies/sensitivies and suspect they have more than 4-5.

AAE COST

​

There are two AAE structured appointments available:
 

• 30 minute session - $75.00 (approximatley 20-30 allergens will be tested)

• 2 hour session - $250.00 (approximately 150 potential allergens will be tested)

 

Please note this is the price for the evaluation alone - no needle will be inserted at this appointment. The $100 (+$25 per additional allergy) to Abounding Hope and the $75 (+$25 if a third needle is needed) to the acupuncturist will still be charged for treatment at a SAAT clinic. Payment is due in full at the time of service.
